The Improved type Kilner Jar is identified by the glass lid fitting inside the neck of
the jar. Most jars have the words "The Kilner Jar Improved Type" molded into the
glass and two vertical lines on opposite sides molded in.
The neck of the jar measures 57mm or 2 3/16 inches inside and the rubber sealing ring measures 56mm id and 64mm od
or 2 3/16 inches id and 2 9/16 inches od.
New white rubber sealing rings are sold in units of 10 for £6.75 with a postage cost of £1.25 for up to 4 units.

New 1 use metal screw tops which replace the Metal Screw Ring, Glass Lid and Rubber Sealing Ring
Ideal if you have Improved jars and the metal screw rings have corroded badly. These Items are made in Italy
and I have used them to preserve fruit last season. Unfortunatly I think you can use them only once.

Reconditioned 4lb Kilner Jars fitted with a new sealing ring and a reconditioned metal screw band. Ideal for Sloe Gin,
